The Challenge
A wholesaler with more than 15,000 products in its inventory management system wanted to build a Shopware 6 online store. Product data, variants, prices and stock levels had to be transferred automatically and in real time from the inventory management system to the store. Maintaining them manually was unthinkable with this number of items.
Added complexity: many products had up to 12 variants (size, color, material), customer-specific tiered pricing and frequent price changes.
Our Solution
We developed a high-performance product synchronization via the Shopware 6 Admin API:
Product Synchronization
Complete transfer of all product data:
- Master data: name, description, EAN, manufacturer, weight, dimensions
- Variants: automatic creation of variant groups and options
- Media: images and documents with automatic assignment
- Categories: smart mapping of product groups to store categories
- SEO: automatic generation of URL slugs and meta descriptions
Stock and Price Sync
Real-time updates of critical sales data:
- Stock changes visible in the store within 60 seconds
- Tiered pricing and customer-specific price lists
- Promotional prices with start and end dates
- Automatic deactivation when stock reaches 0
Delta Sync Engine
Efficient processing through smart change detection:
- Only changed records are transferred
- Batch processing via the Shopware Sync API
- Full sync only on initial import or on request
- Throughput: 500+ products per minute
